Report: Al Michaels leaves Sunday Night Football for Thursday Night Football

This Tuesday, a report by Andrew Marchand of the New York Post indicates that legendary analyst Al Michaels has decided not to renew his contract with NBC Sports where he was the official narrator of Sunday Night Football to take the same position now in the package. Michaels’ partner on the NFL’s opening game broadcasts each week will be analyst Kirk Herbstreit, who had previously accepted the position, without leaving his post on ESPN’s college football broadcasts.
